Becoming a mom—giving birth and the years after—is a profound transformation, and yet we rarely have the opportunity to reflect on this experience. Even with friends and loved ones, somehow our birth stories—the bumps, bruises, and the celebrations—become reduced to bite-sized anecdotes or breezed over in conversation. But these stories are essential to honoring our experience and the precious lives we brought into the world.
This workshop is a space for these stories.
This workshop is intended to provide a space for women to remember, reflect, write about, and (if they choose to do so) share their own stories of motherhood. This will look different for all of us. For some, it may be an opportunity to fill in those gaps in baby books, shelved along with our good intentions. For others, we may want to capture the textures, sounds, and sensations of our experience. We may want to explore these memories in new forms, such as poetry, letters, or stream-of-consciousness. Or we may use the space to document our life's experiences to share with the generations to come.

There are myriad ways to engage with this workshop, but the purpose remains the same: to provide a space for women to remember, explore, write about, and (if they choose to do so), share their own stories of motherhood.
Who this workshop is for.
This workshop is open to mothers at any stage—whether you are newly postpartum or years into your parenting journey. No prior writing experience is necessary.
What we'll do.
Each session includes guided reflection prompts, dedicated writing time, and the option to share in a supportive, nonjudgmental space.
What you'll gain.
You’ll leave with new writing, a deeper connection to your experience, and, often, a sense of being seen and heard in a way that everyday life rarely allows.
Emotional framing.
While this is not a therapy group, it is a thoughtfully held space that honors the emotional depth of these experiences.
